The Shoals team is going to be running some tests on Monday morning (Dec. 3) and then the new on line application will go live on Monday afternoon! This new system will make the entire process of applying for a course or internship hassle-free. There will also be financial aid information (as in how to apply for it) – and you can apply for one of our paid internships by using the online application. Stop over at www.sml.cornell.edu and try it out!

The 1873 murder/mystery on Smuttynose Island (south of Appledore) has been rewritten in comic form – very interesting. We should buy a copy for the Appledore library.

Aside from weekly quartercarding events on the Cornell campus and soon-to-happen tabling at Willard Straight, I’m working on a nice island photo tour. They’ll be linked together by the sweet map that was created for the summer of 2007. Robin (faculty advisor) is at Bowdoin this week. Last week, the big event was updating Shoals Marine Lab @ Wikipedia. Got more ideas for promoting the summer of 2008? Leave a comment… or e-mail goshoals [at] cornell.edu
