Shoals has extended the deadline for completed applications to MAY 30, 2008. That means that all three parts have to be submitted by this date: online application form, recommendation, transcript. Here is the list of courses!

New deadline for last round of financial aid- March 7

Your application to Shoals didn’t make it in by the Feb. 15 deadline for financial aid? You still have time to qualify for financial aid!
The new deadline for course applications for the second round of aid is MARCH 7. Get the on-line application in by March 7 (midnight), and once you are accepted, you will need to submit your financial aid application by March 28. Cornell students accepted to Shoals who also have a GPA of at least 3.5 may apply for a special Cornell merit scholarship: the Bartels scholarship. Courses are filling up earlier this year – so please don’t wait to apply!

After Valentine’s Day comes – Shoals Marine Lab Deadline Day!
Feb. 15 (midnight) is the deadline for finishing the online application in time to be considered for financial aid for credit courses. Don’t have your transcript and recommendations ready? No problem – just get that online application in by Feb. 15. You can worry about the transcript and recommendation later.
Hop on over to https://www.sml.cornell.edu/registerwho/rwho_login.php and get your application in, or finish the application. After Feb. 15 there may be some financial aid left over, but apply by Feb. 15 for the best chance at aid.

Cornell students – stop by the Bio Fair (first floor, Stimson Hall) on Friday Feb. 1 from 11 am to 1:30 pm – we’ll be there! Come say hi, pick up a snack, ask a question about applications/financial aid/internships/weather/tides…
Don’t forget the deadline for applications (if you are requesting financial aid) is FEB 15!

OK, enough about snow falling on cedars on islands – let’s talk application deadlines. This year the credit course application deadlines are Feb. 15 or May 1. Any student applying for financial aid must submit their course application by Feb. 15. If there are places left in classes after Feb. 15, then students who are not interested in financial aid may apply up to May 1.
The deadline for the RIFS internship applications is also – - – Feb. 15! Other internships (Seabird Conservation, Sustainable Engineering) have a March deadline – see: http://www.sml.cornell.edu/sml_students_internships.html
