Shoals Open house at the University of New Hampshire!

There will be info for students on 2010 courses and internships, scholarships and financial aid, and island life in general.

There will be a showing of the movie created by the 2009 Marine Invertebrates Class.

UNH Shoals Alumni will be there to answer questions and share experiences

And of course, there will be pizza.

Wednesday, November 11:
Fall Open House (with alumni panel discussion) on campus (Carol Tatkon Center, North Campus) from 5 – 7 pm. An opportunity for prospective Shoals students 2010 to hear from Shoals alums about courses and research internships. Come hear about the new 2010 course list and our RIFS, Seabird, Sustainable Engineering and NEW Marine Mammal Internships!

Thursday, November 12:
First Annual Shoals Marine Lab Undergraduate Research Symposium in the Morrison Room of Corson Hall from 4:15 to 8 pm (informal dinner included). All undergraduate research interns are invited to present the results of their 2009 summer research in 15 minute talks.

SML Open House November 20th, Cornell [update]

SML is having an open house at the Tatkon Center, room 3331 from 5-7 pm on November 20th. Enjoy food, drink, and a presentation of the upcoming summer 2009 season. It’s a good chance to meet old friends, talk to prospective SML students, and see slides from 2008!

Update:
The Open House is for alums and prospective Shoals students in 2009. There will be pizza and veggies and we will have information on the new courses this summer as well as information on paid internships and the application and financial aid process.

Cornell students – stop by the Bio Fair (first floor, Stimson Hall) on Friday Feb. 1 from 11 am to 1:30 pm – we’ll be there! Come say hi, pick up a snack, ask a question about applications/financial aid/internships/weather/tides…

Don’t forget the deadline for applications (if you are requesting financial aid) is FEB 15!
